Short longing
In our day to day life we are used to moving in fixed limits. Living, working, shopping and just being alive happens within a small space. Perhaps that’s the reason why we are forced by nature to leave the confines of home, office and town on the weekends and holidays in order to enjoy the openness of a natural environment. We frequently give up the paved roads to be able to feel sand, stones and grass under our feet.
Whether broad, flat or ascending, steep, narrow or long, whether smooth, winding, muddy or dry, dusty, frozen or rough and tiresome – but walking those paths we are always fulfilling part of our longing for untouched nature. Passing railway embankments and brooks, walking through meadows, fields, clearings and dense forest we can experience the natural environment with ist plants and wildlife change with every season.
