Over the past years the popularity of gardens is returning. Formerly farmers maintained gardens exclusively to provide their families with fruits, vegetables and herbs. Nowadays their renaissance can be attributed primarily to the increasing desire to lead a healthy and natural way of life.
Shrubs and fruit trees, wild and medicinal herbs, grass and hedges, flowers and berries - the farmer garden symbolizes with its romantic niches and numerous inconspicuous places to hide the coexistence of diverse useful and ornamental plants in nature.
Birds, small mammals and insects seek refuge there all year round as the perfect habitat full of life sustaining edibles. Today the classical farmer gardens serve as an inspiration and role model for the design of terraces, balconies, courtyards and urban front gardens. Plants and herbs have once again found their place, which for a while seemed to be out of fashion.
